About Me
I have cared for pets all my life. Growing up in the country in Tomball, TX, strays would often show up at my family's door step in need of care. As a child, it was not unusual for me to have dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles and fish. My dad and I even cared for an injured crow with a broken wing until it was healed and could be returned to the wild.
In 1997, I became a founder and President of Lifelong Friends Pet Adoptions, formerly Lago Vista P.A.W.S., a No Kill Animal Shelter located in Lago Vista. Lifelong Friends rescues stray and abandoned dogs and cats off the streets in our local communities and if they are not reclaimed by their owners, does all the vet care and finds them lifelong homes.
Prior to founding the shelter, I was employed by Petsmart as a “Specialty Manager” for two years; my responsibilities included care for all the live animals at the store location in Cedar Park, TX. This included small and big birds, often hand feeding them until weaned, as well as reptiles and amphibians such as frogs, lizards, and turtles and tropical fish.
My petsitting business was born about 6 years ago. After cancelling a trip because of the uneasy feeling the sitter I hired left me with, I vowed never to make a client feel like that.
My goal is for my clients to leave their pets in my care and have no worries while they are away from home. Your pets are my family pets while you are away from home. I pledge to follow as close to your pet's routine as you request while you are away to make you being gone as comfortable as possible.
